Iran’s top security official has warned that countries taking part in the United States’ economic campaign against Tehran will face reciprocal retaliation.
Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said nations that join the US economic war will face “tit-for-tat” action. His comments came after US President Donald Trump threatened to unleash what he described as “economic warfare” against Iran.
Rezaei called the potential US campaign an economic “D-Day,” and warned that countries taking part would be met with reciprocal measures.
The warning follows Trump’s threat to unleash economic warfare against Iran.
