Bournemouth are in the Europa League for the first time, and their 2026/27 campaign has already delivered a historic result under new head coach Marco Rose.
Bournemouth qualified after finishing sixth in the 2025/26 Premier League. The Cherries put together an unbeaten run of 18 top division matches, a record breaking sequence, on their way to a place in the Europa League. Marco Rose, who agreed in April 2026 to succeed Andoni Iraola, then led the club to a historic 2-1 win at Real Sociedad on its continental debut.
Under the revised Europa League format, which replaced the group stage used until 2023/24, each team plays eight league phase matches against eight different opponents. The top eight sides qualify automatically for the round of 16. Teams finishing from ninth to 24th enter a knockout phase playoff over two legs for a place in the last 16. Teams placed 25th or lower are out of Europe for the season.
Bournemouth have registered a squad for the league phase. List B submissions, marked with an asterisk, cover players born after January 1, 2005 who have been eligible for the club for an uninterrupted period of two years since their 15th birthday. Those can be made until midnight before each match.
