Cursor, the artificial intelligence coding startup, is now officially part of SpaceX, according to an announcement published on the company’s blog.
The announcement confirms that the acquisition, first floated in April, has been finalized. Under the original deal, SpaceX secured an option to buy Cursor for $60 billion while the two companies agreed to collaborate on developing technology together.
Elon Musk’s space venture, which also absorbed his artificial intelligence company xAI earlier this year, took a significant step forward in June when SpaceX became a publicly traded company. At that point, both sides said they were moving ahead with the acquisition.
Cursor’s blog post did not specify additional financial terms or structural changes, but the language made clear that the startup is now folded into SpaceX’s operations.
With the acquisition now closed, Cursor becomes part of SpaceX’s expanding portfolio, marking the latest chapter in Musk’s efforts to bring AI capabilities closer to his space and technology ventures.
