The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the result of the governorship election in Aiyedaade Local Government Area of Osun State, with the ACCORD party securing victory.
The result, released on Sunday, August 16, 2026, showed ACCORD polling 16,681 votes. The All Progressives Congress (APC) trailed with 15,719 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) managed 331 votes.
These were the only parties listed in the official announcement from INEC for the local government area.
The outcome gives ACCORD a lead in Aiyedaade LGA. Further results from other local government areas across Osun State are awaited.
