Zach Bryan is giving fans a fresh batch of songs, and one of them pairs him with Lana Del Rey. The rollout is moving quickly.
The country and Americana singer and songwriter announced on Monday (Oct. 12) that a set of eight tracks titled Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs will arrive on Friday (Oct. 16).
“Love you guys very much and hope you enjoy it,” he wrote alongside the announcement. “Thanks for a great year on the road.”
Bryan also posted the cover art, a photo of himself standing in an open field and smiling while a lookalike points a rifle at him, along with the full tracklist.
Lana Del Rey collaboration leads the tracklist
Among the eight songs is “Lies,” his team-up with Del Rey. The rest of the set includes “Lodi When,” “Robot Killed the Working Man,” “Dog Days,” “Backwards,” “Plainsman,” which features Turnpike Troubadours, “Is the Blue Tangled in You?” and “You’ll Get By.”
The announcement comes just 10 months after Bryan released his most recent album, With Heaven On Top, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
He opened his With Heaven on Tour in March, playing stadiums and arenas across Europe and North America before the run finished on Saturday (Oct. 10) in Auburn, Ala.
Del Rey had already let slip that a completed collaboration between the two existed. Writing on Instagram in September, she shared a clip of the “Something in the Orange” singer in a studio and said, “Whale, we finally got our song done. And that’s no Lie,” a line that quietly nodded to the track’s title.
Listeners will not have to wait long to hear the whole thing. Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs arrives Friday, with Del Rey’s contribution sitting near the top of a busy year for Bryan.
