Rob Rausch finally admitted his role in the deception that handed him a payday of more than $220,000, standing just steps away from Maura Higgins as the Peacock finale unfolded.
The handsome Alabama snake wrangler, who had kept his intentions hidden throughout the competition, showed little emotion as he revealed he had double-crossed Higgins. The former Love Island contestant reacted with anger and disbelief.
Near The Traitors roundtable, the exchange captured the tension between the two. Higgins, reacting to the confession, pointed out that Rausch had broken a promise they had made.
“I was so fooled by you, you absolute *sshole, you pinky promised,” Higgins says in the Peacock finale. “You’re never going to have a girlfriend after this; you’re such a good liar.”
Higgins’s words stood as the final reaction to a betrayal that won Rausch the prize.
