United appeared to be in control early on. Harry Maguire gave the Premier League side a lead after just two minutes, and they went on to dominate possession for long stretches of the opening period. However, they failed to convert that control into additional goals, and it cost them.
Chukwueze restored parity for Milan eight minutes before halftime, tapping in from close range. That goal brought the Italian side level and changed the flow of the game heading into the break.
After the restart, United again moved ahead when Patrick Dorgu found the net in the 51st minute. Milan’s response was immediate, as Chukwueze set up Alphadjo Cisse six minutes later to make it 2-2.
The Nigerian international struck again in the 68th minute, providing his second assist of the afternoon for Gonçalo Ramos to put Milan in front for the first time. Ruben Loftus-Cheek then put the result beyond doubt three minutes later with a fine finish, completing the scoring at 4-2.
Chukwueze’s performance proved central to Milan’s comeback, as the Serie A outfit overturned two deficits to close out the match with a comfortable win.
