A gruesome discovery has been made in Niger State, where the bodies of nine individuals have been recovered, sparking widespread concern over the escalating insecurity in the region.
The Niger State Police Command has confirmed that the bodies were found on the Wawa-Lumma road in Borgu Local Government Area, with suspicions that the victims fell prey to bandits while traveling.
A combined team of police and military personnel was swiftly deployed to the scene to evacuate the bodies, following the receipt of the disturbing information on Tuesday.

According to SP Wasiu Abiodun, the spokesperson for the Niger State Police Command, a thorough clearance operation has been initiated to secure the area and mitigate any potential security threats.
