Melissa Stone has been promoted to senior vice president of publicity at Walt Disney Studios, a role that will see her spearhead the publicity team and devise PR strategies for a wide range of brands, including Disney Live Action, Disney Animation, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Studios.
Her responsibilities will also extend to streaming series on Disney+, underscoring the company’s commitment to a cohesive brand image across both traditional and digital platforms. Stone will be reporting directly to Martha Morrison, the president of the Walt Disney Studios.
